Where to put Examiner in your preference list if you are a male candidate

If you are a male candidate and you have no problem in living in one of the 11 coastal cities, it should be No.1 in your preference list. You can get a posting in well known cities like Mumbai, Kolkata and Kochin so that should not be a big problem for you when you put it on No.1 in your preference list. If you are keen for Delhi or Home posting ( If it is not in any of these coastal cities ), then you can keep it lower in your preference list.

Where to put Examiner in your preference list if you are a female candidate

This being a core customs post, is generally not highly recommendable for girls as it involves a risk and uncertainty. Sometimes, You have to work for longer duration without a break. Also, when you are dealing with criminals and smugglers, there are many kind of risks are involved. Though it is not like girls can’t go for this post. If you have proper knowledge and readiness to take up this job, you can opt for this job. But if you ask me, I would any day suggest a female candidate to opt for Income Tax Inspector, Assistant CSS or other assistants ( If possible to live in Delhi ) or Central Excise Inspector instead of this post.

Conclusion of Examiner job profile

This is the best post of SSC CGL not without reasons. This is a very good post for male candidates but at the same time less recommendable for females. Yet, in the end, you should always take your own decisions after analysing every factor about this post. In 2014 and 2015 CGL, there are more Examiner posts are available and so you should try to get benefit of this opportunity.
